A die is the interchangeable tool that shapes clay inside a press frame. One iron frame can serve more than one product line when dies change — diyas, kullads and other forms — which is why Kavan treats the press as a platform, not a single-purpose appliance.
If the frame can take more than one die, utilisation rises across seasons. That is the commercial reason to ask which dies are available for a model before you buy.
The die system hub explains the concept. Machine pages will list acceptsDies when those records are authored. Until then, ask in the quotation with the model code.
